THE DISPUTATION

Two scholars. One lost text. The scraps were dealt unevenly. —

The Contested Text

Line — my evidence:
or conjecture a reading:
Mark: Stake:
⚠ your scraps do not show this reading — staking it WITNESSED risks EXPOSURE at the unsealing.
THE SCHOLAR'S LAW
· a WITNESSED stake your scraps support pays full and, when TRUE at the unsealing, takes the line in your name — unsupported witnessing is FALSE ATTESTATION even when the reading is right, and it is EXPOSED
· a CONJECTURE risks only its stake — honesty is never the worse mark for the same reading
· SIGHT sold is SUPPORT sold — a bought scrap backs witnessed stakes as if it were always yours; the fee is the price of entitlement
· the unsealing settles every claim in the order it was staked — priority is the whole game, and the record above is its ledger
· the odd reading may BE the text — some charters truly say forge, corn, thin; an emendation against every page you hold is nerve, not knowledge, and a second agreeing page is the check that costs nothing

THE UNSEALING
The archetype was the engine's all along. Every claim now settles in the order it was staked.
