Hollywood Studios opens The Magic of Disney Animation

Disney's Hollywood Studios opened The Magic of Disney Animation on Monday, September 14, 2026. It is a set of four animation experiences in the park's Animation Courtyard.

What changed

• The four experiences, in Walt Disney World's own words:
• "Drawn to Wonderland": an indoor playground based on Mary Blair's original "Alice in Wonderland" concept art.
• "Off the Page!"
• "Olaf Draws!": a drawing class led by Olaf, a new Audio-Animatronics figure. There is no live artist in the room.
• The Once Upon A Studio Theater: it shows the Emmy Award-winning short "Once Upon A Studio" with added effects.
• All 64 Disney animated feature films are represented, the first time at Walt Disney World, according to the Parks Blog.
• Nearby shows stay: "The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure" and "Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!" are staying.

• Opened: Monday, September 14, 2026. Disney announced the date on July 15 and repeated it on September 9, and MickeyBlog reported the official opening that morning.
• Soft opening: MickeyBlog reports a soft opening the Friday before.
• Still open: as of September 26, Disney's attraction page reads "Now Open!".

What it means if you live here

• Hours: Disney's page currently lists 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. MickeyBlog reports the hours change to 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting September 28. Disney's page does not show that change yet, so check the page before you go.
• Olaf Draws! may use a virtual queue on busy days, according to MickeyBlog. Disney's pages do not mention one.
• An older class closed first: Olaf Draws! follows the closure of The Animation Experience at Conservation Station in Disney's Animal Kingdom, according to WDW News Today.
