Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom closes Nov. 2 for refurbishment

Tiana's Bayou Adventure closes for refurbishment on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. Disney's attraction page reads: "Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will temporarily close for routine refurbishment on November 2 and is expected to reopen in December 2026."

What changed

• The ride closes on Nov. 2. Disney's own page gives the date. WDWInfo read the same date in the My Disney Experience app on Aug. 31.
• The exit shop closes with it. BlogMickey, reading Disney's operational calendar, reports that "Tiana’s Bayou General will close alongside the attraction."
• Critter Co-Op: BlogMickey reported on Oct. 9 that "Critter Co-Op stays open."

When

• Closes: Monday, Nov. 2, 2026.
• Back: Disney says "expected to reopen in December 2026". Its refurbishment calendar lists Friday, Dec. 18, as BlogMickey and Disney Tourist Blog both read it on Oct. 9. That date is not a Disney announcement, and Disney Tourist Blog adds: "As always, refurbishment dates are subject to change".

Where

• Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. The ride opened on June 28, 2024, replacing Splash Mountain in Frontierland, per BlogMickey.

What it means if you live here

• If you plan to ride it, go before Nov. 2, or after it reopens in December.
• Check before you go in December: BlogMickey notes the dates "are always subject to change".
