The code behind the essay's figures and its output, as run on September 21, 2026. fpds_frontier_ota_c6623.py queries the FPDS-NG public ATOM feed for the two CDAO PIID prefixes and the vendor names, saves the raw XML of every query under sources/ beside itself, and tabulates each agreement action by action (fpds_frontier_ota_c6623.out.txt). figures_c6623.py makes no network request: it re-parses saved copies of the records below and asserts every amount, date, count, share and quotation in the essay against them (figures_c6623.out.txt, 100 checks, all passing on our copies).
This folder carries our code, its output and pointers. It does not republish copies of other sites' pages, so the saved records are not served here. To re-run the checks, run python fpds_frontier_ota_c6623.py to rebuild the FPDS files, and save the other records below into sources/ under the file names figures_c6623.py reads (needs PyMuPDF for the two PDFs). The DoD data in FPDS carries a 90-day publication delay, and news pages change, so a later pull may differ from ours.
