Build-A-Bear's three-story Workshop at ICON Park is scheduled to open in November

Build-A-Bear Workshop's new Workshop at Orlando's ICON Park is scheduled to open in November. The company's release of October 5, 2026 calls it "the brand's largest and most ambitious experience ahead of its scheduled official opening in November."

What changed

• Three stories, three concepts: the release names the "Build-A-Bear Design Studio, Build-A-Bear Bakeshop, and 'Personalize Me' station where custom embroidery and screen printing bring a special final touch to guests' furry friends."
• The Design Studio is by appointment: the release calls it "A first-of-its-kind, appointment-only plush atelier where guests collaborate one-on-one with a dedicated Design Consultant". WKMG News 6 put it this way: "You have to sign up for an appointment".
• The Bakeshop is not a café: "Rather than a traditional café, the Bakeshop gives guests the creative freedom to frost and decorate their own cupcakes and cookies".
• Only here: WKMG News 6 reported "exclusive attractions and customization experiences not available at any other location."
• From the company: "Our ICON Park Workshop represents our most ambitious experience yet," said Chris Hurt, CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop.

When

• Scheduled: November 2026, by the company's release dated October 5, 2026. WKMG News 6 reported on October 7, 2026 that the workshop will open at ICON "in November".
• Details to come: "Today's announcement is just a preview, with additional features and grand opening details to be revealed in the weeks ahead."
• Earlier: Fox 35 reported on August 1, 2025 that Build-A-Bear had "broken ground on a new multi-level flagship store at ICON Park in Orlando, set to open in 2026."

Where
