HomeGoods moves its Orlando store from Millenia Plaza to Colonial Plaza Market Center; the new store opens Oct. 29

HomeGoods' store at 4664 Millenia Plaza Way is moving. HomeGoods' Grand Openings page says: "We're moving to a new location in Colonial Plaza Market Center."

What changed

• A move across town. The store leaves Millenia Plaza, 4664 Millenia Plaza Way, Orlando, FL 32839, for Colonial Plaza Market Center.
• The new space is the former Big Lots in Colonial Plaza. Patch reports the store is moving "into a space formerly occupied by Big Lots," according to Bungalower. In March, GrowthSpotter reported that a sign at the former Big Lots in Colonial Plaza "states that a HomeGoods store is coming soon."
• The old store's page shows it closed. HomeGoods' page for the Millenia Plaza store lists "Closed" for every day, Monday through Sunday, as read Oct. 21, 2026. The same page also carries the move and the Oct. 29 opening.

• The new store opens Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. HomeGoods' page reads: "Come visit us on October 29, 2026 from 8am to 10pm for the new store opening!" Patch reports the same date and hours, crediting HomeGoods.
• The date can move. HomeGoods' page says: "*Dates subject to change."
• When the Millenia store closed: no source read gives a date.

Where

• Colonial Plaza Market Center, on East Colonial Drive in Orlando. HomeGoods names the center but gives no street address.
• The address in the reports: Patch gives 2544 E. Colonial Drive, according to Bungalower. GrowthSpotter's article also gives 2544 E. Colonial Drive, while its photo caption gives 2728 E. Colonial Dr.
• Distance: Patch says the new store "is nearly 9 miles away from the original location when taking Interstate 4, according to Google Maps."

What it means if you live here

• Don't head to Millenia Plaza for HomeGoods. HomeGoods' own page lists that store closed every day.
• From Oct. 29, the store is in Colonial Plaza Market Center. Check HomeGoods' page before going on opening day, since it says dates are subject to change.
• Opening-day offers: none are listed on HomeGoods' Grand Openings page.

Background

• GrowthSpotter reported the plan in March. It found a City of Orlando permit "for the address listing a change of tenant/tenant improvement for HomeGoods." A map on the Kimco website listed the former Big Lots space at 29,658 square feet, with HomeGoods as tenant.
• No date was given then. A HomeGoods spokesperson, Emma Lapena, said by email in March that the store "will open in the future," and GrowthSpotter wrote that she "did not provide additional details."
• Big Lots, the space's former tenant, "filed for bankruptcy protection in September 2024," GrowthSpotter reported.
