Oakland Farmers Market ends its Thursday markets and moves to select first Saturdays, starting Jan. 2, 2027

The Town of Oakland says: "Beginning in January 2027, the Oakland Farmers Market will return with a new seasonal schedule, including market days held on select first Saturdays throughout the season." Orange Blossom Market, which the town names as the market's "official vendor curator", says: "October 22 will be our final Thursday market in Oakland."

What changed

• The old schedule: the Orange Observer reports the market will be held "on select first Saturdays of the month rather than second and fourth Thursdays."
• The last Thursday market was Oct. 22, 2026. The town's calendar listed it from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• The new schedule: Orange Blossom Market says the market is "shifting to a first-Saturday schedule".

When

• November and December: the sources disagree. The Orange Observer reports: "The market will not be available in November and December." The town's calendar, read Nov. 2, still lists a Town of Oakland Farmers Market on Tuesday, Nov. 24 and on Tuesday, Dec. 22, each from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check with the town before going.
• The first 2027 market: the Orange Observer reports it for "9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at 126 W. Petris Ave." The town's January 2027 calendar did not list a farmers market when read on Nov. 2, so the Jan. 2 date rests on the Observer's report.
• Later dates: the town says it looks forward to sharing more details soon.

Where

• 126 W. Petris Ave., Oakland, for the Jan. 2 market, per the Orange Observer.
