Papa Llama, the Peruvian restaurant at 2840 Curry Ford Road, has closed. Its owners, Maria and Kevin Ruiz, told Bungalower on the morning of Friday, September 4, 2026, that it "has closed its doors and is no longer open for service."

What changed

• The restaurant is closed. The owners did not give a reason.
• They had run it for "almost ten years", in Maria Ruiz's words. The restaurant on Curry Ford Road opened in August 2020.
• It held a Michelin star in 2024 and 2025. It lost the star in May 2026 and was on Michelin's "Recommended" list when it closed.
